Blogs and SEO: What You Need To Know

In the last part of our blogging series, we are discussing blogs and SEO. SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, is how your blogs are found on search engines, like Google. We've got some simple tips on how you can utilize SEO to further the reach of your blogs.

Meta Title

The meta title is the featured title on the search results page. Your meta title should be between 60 to 80 character long. The meta title is super important because it helps people find your blog when they search for it on Google.


Meta Description

The meta description is the description listed below the title on your search results. This should be between 120 to 180 words, but it's better to be closer to 180. You want to give a decent amount of details on the topic of your blog because this will help people find your blog when looking for that topic.


Keywords

Keywords are so important, but they need to be relevant to what you are writing. Also, think of what people would search when looking for your blog topic. Try to include keywords throughout your article, but be careful not to keyword stuff.


Alt Text

Alt text is the way that you describe your images in your blog. It's also another place for you to add keywords. This description will help people find not only your blog, but it will also optimize your images.


Blogs are an excellent way to market your business and showcase your knowledge and SEO will help them find you.
