Have you ever had customers ask you if they can download an application, info document, or brochure directly from your website? Do you have the tools to allow them to do so?
Sometimes customers can't come into your office, or don't have the time to do so, due to various circumstances. In these cases, they want to be able to download, or view, the info they need online, and maybe print it out for themselves at home.
Luckily, with an Atwill Media website, we provide a simple and easy-to-use tool that allows you to upload your important document files, and create a button anywhere on your website for your customers to use on their own time.
First, you'll need to login to your Atwill Media website using your email address and password. The login button is located at the very bottom of your page, on the right side of your footer. Enter your email address, your password, and then click Log In.
Before you can place a document link on a page of your website, you need to make sure you have some documents already uploaded that you can link to. After all, if no documents are uploaded to your website, how are you going to give them to your customers?
To upload a new document, navigate to the Site Tools section of your Dashboard, and then click on Manage Site Documents (the third option in the list of Site Tools).
Before you get started with uploading a new document, you need to make sure your document fits the upload requirements. Your document cannot be larger than 32M, and you also need to make sure the file type is either a TXT or PDF file.
When you're ready to upload your document, click on Choose File to find the document on your computer. After you've selected the document, click Upload New Document, and wait a few seconds for the document to finish uploading. Once it's finished, you will see it located under the Uploaded Documents section.
You can see all of your uploaded documents in this section, and you can also choose to either View a document, copy its URL, or Delete the document completely. Make sure if you click Delete that you are very certain you want to delete the document, because this action cannot be undone. If you accidentally delete a document, you will need to upload that document again to your website.
After you've uploaded all of your documents, click Save Changes.
Now, you can begin the quick process of adding an uploaded document link to a page on your site. To add a button link to a previously uploaded document, you'll need to go to the Add To Page option on your Dashboard.
Find the section titled Link, and then click on Document Link. From here, you can select the document you wish to add to a button from the dropdown menu provided under Your Documents. Select the document you wish to add to the page you're currently on, and then choose what you want the button to say under Button Link Text. You can also add a description that appears when you mouse over the button link by typing in the text box under Title Text.
If you'd like to change the document button link later, you can click on the Pencil Icon on the button link in Edit Mode. This will allow to change the document, the Button Link Text, and the Title Text all at once.
See? Easy, right? Uploading a Document Link to any page of your website is simple, quick, and user-friendly, just like everything Atwill Media does!
