Make Your Website Shine Using Videos

Videos can be a valuable asset to any website, adding not only a moving visual piece to your page, but also an interactive tool that helps to keep your customers on your website.

Lucky for you, Atwill Media makes it super simple to add an embedded video to any page on your website! With a few quick steps, you can add your own personal video messages, advertisements, and creative videos to your custom built Atwill Media website!

Getting Started

In order to embed a video into your webpage, you're first going to have to upload your video to a hosting site, such as YouTube or Vimeo. Both of these video hosting services make it easy to upload your own videos to your profile, and you can find out how each one works by visiting this link for YouTube, and this one for Vimeo. There are other video hosting websites out there, of course, but these two are typically the easiest to use.

After you've uploaded your video, you will see an option to grab the embed code for the video. For YouTube, this is found underneath the video by clicking on Share, and then Embed. You can copy the embed code from the text box it generates.

For Vimeo, grab the embed code by clicking Share and then grabbing the embed code that pops up in the share options.

Embedding

After you've grabbed the embed code from whatever hosting service you choose, you'll need to paste that embed code into the Video Embed tool for your Atwill Media website.

First, login to your website using your email and password given to you by your client service representative. Then, navigate to the page of your website where you want to add your video. Click on Add To Page, from the toolbar options at the top of your browser screen. Select Media from the options on the left side bar, and then select Video. In the text box that says Embed Code, you will paste the code that you grabbed from your video hosting site. Click Save Changes to post your video on the page, but before you do, make sure you have added a Title and Description to your video. You aren't required to do this, but it always helps to give your customers as much information as you can when posting new content to your site.

Your Video will post at the bottom of your page, and you can rearrange it by dragging the Video Embed box up or down, or by clicking the up and down blue arrows on the Video Embed Box.

Creative Ways to Use Video

Videos can be used in a multitude of wonderful ways, from advertising your company through a commercial, to showing off a hands-on demo of a new product or service your are offering a customer. Videos are a great way to educate your customers in a variety of fun ways!

Got a great new commercial that you want to show off to your customers? Embed on to your website. It's a great way to reach more people in a shorter amount of time than traditional TV advertising.

Have a product that requires detailed instructions or troubleshooting in order to use it? Make some handy video tutorials that can be hosted on a specific page on your website. Your customers will love and thank you for the extra effort you put into making sure they have all the info they need.

Embedding videos will add a fun, and very useful tool, to your custom-built website.
