Marketing Takeaways: Learning From Other Brands

Marketing your business can be overwhelming, especially with all the newer competition. But what if that competition could help you? Check out some of the marketing takeaways you could learn and utilize for your business.

RITAS Spritz, “Subtle Notes”

RITAS is a great brand to watch. With the launch of their new drink, RITAS Spritz, they also launch a new advertisement campaign that features three older women. This is an excellent example of a brand trying to appeal to a different audience than they usually do. By using older women and the tagline “We’ve been drinking since 1973,” they showcase that their product is meant for everyone. This is a great way to grow their customer base.

AT&T, “Just Okay is Not Okay”

AT&T’s advertisement series, Just Okay is Not Okay, has many marketing takeaways that you can utilize for your business. These commercials show their audience that they deserve the best, whether that’s their doctor, mechanic, or especially their telephone network. But by explaining this to their audience, they also set themselves up as the solution. They end every commercial by stating that they were ranked best in a leading test. This is a great way to show how your product or service can meet the needs of your customers.

Spindrift Fresh, “Kristen Bell Schools A Scientist”

Spindrift Fresh does a fantastic job of showcasing their natural products. They point out undeniable facts and the best points of their products in fun ways. For example, in the above commercial, Kristen Bell asks, “When’s the last time you’ve seen a clear raspberry?” Even though it’s obvious that there aren’t clear raspberries, pointing this out further showcases to their audience that Spindrift only uses natural products.

Just Fab, “Testimonial Obsession”

One way to showcase the products or services you sell is with happy customers. Just Fab’s “Testimonial Obsession” is an excellent example of this. By utilizing satisfied customers, their audience can see not only the great things people have to say about their shoes, but also see the shoes themselves. This is a great way to tie in excellent customer service and good products.

There are numerous things you can learn from watching the way other brands market their business. Write down a few of the things you liked the next time you see a commercial and spice up your marketing!
